A Lasting Impression was born from a deep love for craftsmanship, creativity, and the art of woodworking. Founded by Dave Hegedus in 1989, our workshop in Spring Lake Michigan has grown from a one-person passion project into a trusted name for custom, handcrafted furniture and wood creations.

Dave brings 40+ years of woodworking experience and a lifelong appreciation for the beauty of natural materials. With a background in design, carpentry, wood stains and paints, finishing and construction, he’s passionate about blending traditional techniques with modern design — always with a personal touch.
